Another outing is being planned to Abbeville to see the play “The Wizard of Oz” on Saturday, March 15 at the Abbeville Opera House. We will stay at the Belmont Inn in Abbeville. The cost is $179 per couple or $139 for single. This includes your room, wine and cheese reception, tickets to the play, dinner, coffee and dessert, continental breakfast, and lunch. All gratuities and taxes are also included. If you are interested in staying Friday and Saturday night, the two-night package is $219 for a couple and $189 for single.

Directions to the Belmont Inn are pretty simple. If you can find downtown Abbeville you will find the Belmont Inn, as it is located on the town square.
We are developing a tentative itinerary for the weekend. Some are planning on going down on Friday, so it will be a two-part itinerary for the weekend. The Friday itinerary starts a little late for those who want to take part but can’t get there until after work. The Saturday itinerary begins mid-morning for those coming on Saturday. This is only a tentative itinerary. We would like to have some input from members.

q 10-11:30 am-Tour downtown Abbeville stores, antique shops, and Chamber of Commerce.

· Yoder’s Dutch Kitchen (driving required).
· Windows on Main (walking distance).
· Dutch Oven (walking distance).
· 101 Court (walking distance).
· Village Grill (walking distance).
q 1:00-2:00 pm-Tour the Burt Stark Mansion 2 block north of town. You may either walk or drive.
q 3:00-5:00 pm-View the play at the Opera House.
q 5:00-6:00 pm-Wine and Cheese Reception at the Belmont Inn.
q 7:00-10:00 pm or so-Noggin & Natter at the Belmont Inn.
